Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED Full Guide and Review

I tested the $2,499 Aero 15 model that comes with an Intel Core i7-9750H processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU with 8 GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD and 4 K Samsung AMOLED.

The base model costs $1,699 and will drop you to a GTX 1660 Ti GPU, RAM 8 GB and SSD 256 GB. The break-the-bank version, meanwhile, runs for $3,999 and comes with a Core i9-9980HK CPU, RTX 2080 GPU, RAM 64 GB and 1 TB SSD.

Design

The fresh Aero 15 swaps the easy carbon fiber arrow for a brushed aluminum structure that looks like a bow pushing an arrow to the hinge. And instead of the Gigabyte icon floating high against the matte-black roof, there’s a nice Aero emblem that provides the Aero 15 its own personality. There is a steel, etched Aero logo on the hinge, and just above it there are two black LEDs glowing on it, reminiscent of the nighttime Washington Monument. It’s special, but it’s not needed.

There’s all the true goodies inside. First, there is the beautiful RGB-lit keyboard per-key, a fingerprint sensor integrated in the touchpad, and a slim, triangular water duct just above the keyboard. The bezels on screen are relatively small, but the webcam is at the edge of the hinge, sadly. Gigabyte did, however, include a privacy shutter that’s nice because hackers won’t be able to take a glance at their nose.

Ports

There are still a good amount of outlets on this sleek device.

A HDMI 2.0 port, a USB Type-C / DP 1.4 channel, a USB 3.1 port, a headphone jack and an RJ45 Ethernet port are located on the right. The left contains the power jack space, an SD card cabinet, a Thunderbolt 3 port, and two USB 3.1 slots. Consider receiving a USB Type-C connector or loading facility if you need extra outlets.

Display

The 15.6-inch Aero 15, 3840x 2160 Samsung AMOLED board is vividly colourful and bright. To accompany this bad boy, you won’t need a gaming monitor.

The purple knot of Bobby Cannavale exploded with colour in the trailer for Motherless Brooklyn. When a cloud stood around the Borough Bridge Authority in the dus.

there was still plenty of precision on the ground in the walls. And when the M1911 stood on a coffee table, the grasp on the display of the Aero 15 appeared particularly strong

The neon sign for La Casa Mexicana was extremely vibrant in Tomb Raider’s Shadow. Even the deepest parts were fleshed out with noticeable leaves and limbs when I made a trip through the jungle.

The board was tight enough to demonstrate off the web thread that a baddie was carrying about 5 feet from me over his desk.
