1. Acer Aspire E 15- Best Quality For Mony Laptop under 700
You may have already heard about the Acer Aspire E15 previously but this is the latest version released in October 2017 and with few important changes. If you are looking for a good value for money laptop under 700, then I have to admit, no one comes to this amazing laptop and I’ll tell you why.Best Laptops Under $700
Not only $700, this one of good laptop you can get under $600 in the market right now.
This notebook has 15.6 inch IPS display with the resolution of 1920×1080. This is a 60 Hertz Panel which has good color reproduction and viewing angles. It doesn’t have the best display on the market but for $600, this is really a good display in my opinion. The build quality of the laptop is excellent and the design is fine for this price. Honestly, You can’t expect a world-class design in a $600 notebook.Best Laptops Under $700
When it comes to storage, You’ll get 256GB SATA SSD. But do you know the surprising part of it?
Yes, that’s right.
The Acer E15 boots up the system in less than 10 seconds which is pretty extraordinary for a 600 dollar laptop.
Apart from that, almost every program runs smoothly on this machine. If you think the 256GB won’t be enough for you, you can add more memory in a blank slot offered on the notebook. You can either add an SSD or HDD in the slot which generally suits you.
One of the major difference between the previous-gen E15 and the new one is the CPU. It has been upgraded from Intel Core i5-7200U Processor to Intel Core i5-8250U which will obviously perform better than the older one.
The 8GB DDR3 RAM handles most of the multi-tasking easily without any issues. There is one extra slot available on the laptop to add more RAM to the laptop If you want more fast performance from this beast. It’ll cost you around $90 on Amazon.Best Laptops Under $700
Another most interesting thing about the Aspire E15 is it offers a gaming experience with the dedicated GPU i.e GeForce MX150 with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM. It is pretty rare to find a laptop with a dedicated GPU at this price range.
You can’t expect it to play very high demanding games because it isn’t a powerful GPU out there but it can some lightweight games at a decent frame rate.
If you want more examples, check out this video by TechDeals where the guy has tested 14 games on this laptop.
If you are picky about both gaming and general usage, then I would recommend you to get the Acer Helios 300. It has a more powerful CPU and GPU. It’ll cost you $450 but It’ll be worth it.
The port selection by Acer on this laptop is good and it has all the important ports which an average consumer would need.
Apart from that, it has an optical drive which isn’t used by many people these days but it can be useful sometimes.
Its pretty hard to find a notebook with a backlit keyboard in just $600 but Acer has managed to offer this amazing feature at this price.
And Finally, the battery life.
Acer has claimed that it can last up 15 hours but it is not the case. You can expect 5-6 hours of battery while using the laptop in 100% brightness. If you use the laptop in lower brightness, you expect at least 8 hours

2. Lenovo Ideapad 700
I have already talked about the Lenovo Y700 here but there are few specs differences between those models and also the price difference between these two models are $350.
If you can spend $350 more from your pocket, you’ll get better specs and hardware. But for the price of $700, this laptop is one of the best in the market.
I’ll talk about 4 major differences of these laptops and I’ll move on to explain to you why this is a top laptop for 700 dollars.
1. The Lenovo Y700 I’m going to talk about is having a slightly weaker CPU i.e Intel Core i5 6300HQcompared to the newer one which has Intel Core i7 6th Gen 6700HQ
2. The $700 Y700 has 12GB DDR3 RAM and the $1000 Y700 has 16GB DDR4 RAM.
3. The $1000 laptop has slightly powerful GPU i.e GTX 960M (4GB VRAM) compared to the GTX 950M (4GB VRAM).
4. The $1000 model offers 1TB HDD whereas the $700 model doesn’t.
I’m not boasting about the $1000 model and try to convince you to get that model. I know you have just $700 budget but All I’m saying is If you have $350 more, you should get that model or else you can get the $700 model which has pretty good things too which I’m going to talk below.
The Lenovo Ideapad 700 has 15.6 Inch IPS display with a matte finish which has decent viewing angles and color reproduction.
When it comes to storage, it has 256GB SSD and 12GB RAM. Both are upgradeable. As I said before, It has slightly slower processor i.e 6th Gen Core i5 but it can easily perform browsing, MS excel/ word/ powerpoint, and much other common software without having performance issues. The 3DMark score of this laptop is 14,846.
As you may already know, this is just an entry-level gaming laptop which has dedicated GTX 950M graphics card. This GPU can play some low demanding at good frame rates but you shouldn’t expect to play high demanding games on this laptop.
It is good to see a laptop which offers a dedicated GPU at this price because even an expensive laptop like Razer Blade Stealth doesn’t offer a dedicated GPU.
The Ideapad Y700 has a backlit keyboard which could help to use the laptop in the dark areas at night. The port selection is also decent but it should have been better.
As you can see, there is no USB Type-C port available which was available in Aspire E15. But If you don’t care about ports a lot, then you won’t have any issues with that.
And lastly, the battery life.
Lenovo claims it can last up to 4 hours and that’s actually true. In fact, if you use the laptop by lowering the brightness you can expect a little more than that. While gaming, you can expect around 1-2 hours of battery life.Pros
- Perfect for general usage and lightweight gaming.
- Good display
Cons
- A slightly slower processor in 20192.

3. Dell Inspiron 15 5000 5577- Best Gaming Laptop Under 700
If you are looking for a laptop for regular usage along with casual gaming, then you should stop right here and have a look at this powerful machine.
The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 5577 is one of best gaming laptops under 700 dollars you can get right now and I have to say its worth every single penny because it offers some amazing specs which no other laptop can offer this at this price.
The laptop comes with 15.6 full HD TN panel which has decent viewing angles but not so great color accuracy. This is the only downside of this laptop. Other than that, there is nothing to complain about. If you too picky about the color accuracy of the laptop, then this laptop might not be suitable for you. If you are okay with the decent display, then you should continue reading about this laptop.
The body of the laptop is mostly made out of plastic but still, it is very rigid and feels premium. I must say it’s a well-made laptop by considering the quality of the body. The red accent on the top gives gaming feel to the laptop.
By default, Inspiron 15 comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM. If you want faster performance, then there is an extra slot available on the laptop to add more RAM. You can add RAM up to 32GB by adding 2 16GB sticks in two different slots. The 1TB HDD storage would be enough these days.
The CPU inside the laptop offered is Intel Quad-Core i5-7300HQ which performs reasonably well and the multitasking on this machine isn’t a big deal at all. You can use Google Chrome, watch movies, edit photos/ videos at once without any issues at all.
The Inspiron 5000 comes with a dedicated graphics card i.e NVIDIA GTX 1050 4GB. The above laptops have also offered the same but GTX 1050 is way powerful than GTX 950M or MX150. That’s why I think this is one of the best laptops you can under $650
If you want more information about the gaming test of this laptop, check out this video where 10 games have been tested. Most of the popular games can be played at good frame rates on this laptop.
Just to remind you, the Acer Aspire E15 , Lenovo Ideapad Y700 and Dell Inspiron 5000 are the only laptops on this laptop which offers dedicated GPU. No other laptops offer discrete GPU for gaming. So keep this mind If you are expecting a gaming experience in a $700 laptop.
One of the good things about the laptop is it comes with less bloatware which is a good thing because many people got irritated by lots of unwanted software on their newer laptops.
The Red backlit keyboard on this laptop is bright and it’ll help you while play games at night.
Not a bad port selection, Right?
And at last, the battery life.
For non-gamers, you can expect up to 6-8 hours of battery life by doing some simple and basic tasks. For gamers, the maximum battery life you can get on this laptop is 2-2.5 hours which is very usual in a gaming machine.

So what about those of us who like the bigger laptops, the 17.3″ models?
Isn’t it about time these 17.3″ were given webspace and assessed as to their price, performance etc?
Too much is made of the smaller laptops particularly the 15.6″ but little is made of their big brothers!
I look forward to an article dedicated to these ‘monsters’!
