Review

Asus is the leader of dual-screen laptops from Asus Taichi 21 to Asus ZenBook Pro 15.

But ZenBook Pro Duo has outdone the business itself.

The $2,999 laptop is running on all cylinders with a 4K OLED touch screen and a 4K contact secondary board running along with the chassis, producing a multi-tasking monster.

Productivity? Check it out. Creating content?

It’s absolutely. Gaming? Gaming? Why the fuck not?

So how’s Asus taking it all off? Serious specifications.

Once you discover some moment to quit ogling and touch the displays. imagine the overclockable Core i9 CPU, Nvidia RTX visuals, and the fast SSD.

But there are some caveats to believe. a really brief battery life, a mushy keyboard, and a thinner picture. But portable experts, product developers and even gamers looking to stroll and eat gum should find the ZenBook Pro Duo at the same moment.

I multi-tasked like insane with the $2,999 Asus ZenBook Pro Duo model. It has an overclockable 2.4-GHz Intel Core i9-9980HK processor with 32 GB RAM, a 1 TB PCIe SSD, an Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU with 6 GB VRAM. The $2,499 basic model has a 2.6-GHz Intel Core i7-9750H CPU with 16 GB of RAM.

Design

Asus remains to produce creations that are both permanent, creative and undeniably Asus. Constructed from sturdy aluminum, the Celestial Blue is alluring, like a deep-blue pond with mysteries hidden just below the ground for those courageous enough to pass the dip. The glossy Asus logo on the left of the middle is the epicenter of Asus’ favorite concentric circle model.

Upon lifting the flap, the company’s Ergo Lift hinge is deployed, softly increasing the keyboard panel to a 4.5-degree angle for more convenient reading and watching a session. The full-size keyboard resides in the space normally reserved for the palm rest, with the touchpad / Num Pad sequestered in the lower right corner.

You’ll see the Alexa light bar at the top of the front sheet of your laptop, which means that your application is being processed by the digital attendant. Asus completes the display by placing its ships in gleaming, chamfered corners.

You’ll discover Asus’ ScreenPad at the bottom of the board: a huge second screen that goes along the width of the board. It’s a visually amazing component that, when combined with the 4 K OLED display above, creates a captivating picture. Despite the matte screen, however, the ScreenPad Plus is quite a fingerprint magnet.

Ports

For a thick boy like that, the duo is fairly small on the channels

On the correct, you get the USB Type-A 3.1 Gen 2 slots, the Thunderbolt 3 and the audio jack.

On the right, there’s another USB Type-A port, a full-size HDMI 2.0 port, and a DC-in port.

Displays

OLED and 4K — a game produced in the digital sky. The Duo’s shiny, 15.6-inch, 3840x 2160 primary touch screen provides luxurious hues with strong information. Watching a particularly awkward sequence between the actors Sasheer Zamata and DeWanda Wise during The Weekend Trailer, the crimson blouse of the latter attracted my eyes, as did the bright red tomatoes and the gilded chrysanthemums. The details were clear enough for me to obviously see both the separate skin fold motif of the women and the nice creases in their blouses.

The same scene in the matte ScreenPad was not nearly as vibrant. And because of the size of 3840x 1100, the screen did not fit the distance of the screen, losing about 3 inches of gray room on either hand. The details were still fairly clear, as I could see all the wrinkles in the olive jacket of actress Kim Whitley. Even though it’s not OLED, I appreciate the matte finish of the ScreenPad, because it doesn’t give rise to serious thoughts.

I was mesmerized by the technical, post-apocalyptic wasteland of Far Cry New Dawn. The game was already incredibly vibrant, but on the OLED panel of the Duo, the pink and purple were almost fluorescent. As I held off a white wolf attempting to create a dinner out of me, I could see the different strands shaking in the sunlight.

Unfortunately, most games don’t perform nicely with the ScreenPad Plus, so you can’t play on the second screen. But I’m not convinced that most gamers would want to work on a narrower display, unless it’s a smartphone or Nintendo Switch, anyway. therefore, it would be great if you could handle tertiary features like match menus and inventory down there.

OLED and 4K — a game produced in the digital sky.

When we measured the Duo’s OLED display, it reproduced an amazing 203.4 percent of the sRGB gamut, which is much more vivid than the 130 percent premium laptop average and the 114 percent MacBook Pro. However, the Duo could not keep back either the XPS 15 or the Spectre, which received 239 crores and 258 points respectively.

The Screen Pad was able to score 107.8 points, which is not too shabby.

The Duo OLED board achieved 322 nits of brightness, while the ScreenPad reached 289 nits. Neither rating was able to equal the 343-nit median. The MacBook Pro and the Spectre projected both displays at 403 and 483 nits, combined. But nothing could keep a candle to the 626 nits of the XPS 15.
