The 5 Best Laptops of Computex 2019: The Most Exciting Laptops

5 best Laptops of Computex 2019 is clearly the largest computer trade show of the year, focused almost exclusively on the latest desktop computers and the components that power them. However, it has also become increasingly a show on laptops, and 2019 is the most important year for them in the Taipei show.

We have reviewed a real ton of laptop news and practical comments to offer you the most exciting and absolute of the show. You will find wonders of the double screen, new incredible redesigns and bold new directions that will make 2019 a historic year in mobile computing, all debuting at Computex 2019.

1 Asus ZenBook Pro Duo

Asus has been experimenting with additional screens on their laptops for about a year or two, but the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is on a whole new level. This laptop adds a full “Screenpad Plus” screen above the keyboard but below the main screen.

This secondary 4K screen can be used to present document editing controls, which makes editing video and image content at 100% 4K resolution on a primary laptop a reality.

Of course, Asus plans to bring the products to support such efforts with a larger ‘main’ screen, which allows Intel Core i9 and Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics configurations. This is certainly not a thin or light notebook, but in reality, the goal is to serve as a one-stop-shop for content creators who also like a bit of side play. While we do not yet have a price, we can not wait to see what this laptop can do with those two screens.

2 Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 (2019)

The 5 best laptops of computex 2019: the most exciting laptops

Dell’s new XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop announces the company’s new XPS design aesthetic that began earlier this year with the revamped Dell XPS 13 for its hybrid line. Sure, the webcam has moved above the screen, but we’re more excited about the new and quieter MagLev 2 laptop keyboard, not to mention its cooling system that allows Intel 10-nanometer mobile processors with all the grease.

This is a 2-in-1 laptop that can promise to deliver power, very unlike many previous ones. It also offers a larger screen than before, larger than even the straight line XPS 13, with a new aspect ratio of 16:10. As you can see, almost everything related to Dell’s leading 2 in 1 laptop has been renewed or improved, so we are very excited to give it a complete overhaul later this year.

3 MSI GT76 Titan

The next phase of the MSI desktop replacement gaming laptop obviously increases power by including the latest Intel and Nvidia components, but that is not the most important story here. The real buzz behind the MSI GT76 Titan is the aesthetics. Everything related to the chassis of this laptop has become more worthy of its astronomical price.

No more plastic traps last year, replaced by an aluminum housing and RGB lighting scattered throughout the chassis, including key backlighting. This is a laptop that really looks the part when you see the massive price tag. Add parts for the desktop, ready for the overclock, and you’ll see a desktop configuration for PC games in a box … one that you can really transport.

4 HP Envy Wood Series

Although unfortunately, these laptops were not available for practical review in Taipei, we have to congratulate the interesting design direction of HP with its next series of HP HP Envy Wood Ultrabooks and laptops. All HP Envy 2019 laptops will present real wood aesthetics on their palm rests.

Through the three colors available for these laptops, there is a unique type of wood that comes as a sign on the palm rest, trackpad and even fingerprint reader, including walnut, pale birch and ceramic white birch.

Naturally, HP promises that this wood will be obtained in a sustainable way. We do not know how much these laptops will cost when they are released later this year, but there are many intrigued people who will be willing to pay.

5 Alienware m15 (2019)

The 5 best laptops of computex 2019: the most exciting laptops

We are delighted to see that Dell and Alienware bring that Area-51m radial design to the Alienware m15 and m17 laptops. The design translates perfectly into the thin and lightweight elements of the product line, which makes laptops look less like the mothership that is Area-51m and more like light, agile fighters in the fleet.

This new design also provides a wealth of practical aspects that were previously absent from Dell’s thin and lightweight Alienware laptops, which vastly improve its cooling design and visual aesthetics. Now, we are a bit annoyed by the entry-level prices.

However, Dell certainly adds a lot of value to the more expensive options, particularly the Tobii eye-tracking, which is used by Alienware’s own competitive game tutors (through Alienware Academy) to train their reflexes.
